Before I start, this post is NOT sponsored by Bridl. I will NOT receive anything in return of using their platform! This is truly my personal opinion!

As you probably know our industry is a little gray when it comes to sale & buy hors
es.
It is difficult to trust the people you’re buying from because often nothing is under contract.
Then we have to talk about the commissions… which at the end of the process you never really know how much the horse cost in the first place.
No one is to blame here, as it is how our industry is build and how people make a living out of it, fairly or not.
Now, we can deal with honest sellers but who didn’t stumble on a shady ones at least once?
Where you feel something is wrong? Where you’re pretty sure that fews intermediates are taking multiple commissions on, or that the commission is definitely not only 10% and so on...

We can’t change the all system at once, but we can all come together to make actions toward a more transparency industry.
This amazing young lady, Marie Marks, has the courage and the determination to make an impact in the equestrian world.
She creates a platform, @bridl.co where transparency and security are the main values.

STOP for sec: it doesn’t mean that if you decide to buy a horse that doesn’t fit you, you need to take your own responsibilities here. Where this problem can often occur, it IS not the fault of the seller neither of the intermediate.
I deeply invite you to start opening your mind on a different way of dealing horses, for the security and the welfare of our sport.
It will take you 2 min to adapt, like when Insta changes his features…everyone is still using the app, right?

How does it work?
Well like any selling platform but this one has safety features like verify ID for instance, and will organize calls to know you more.
You are help every step of the way.
Then, let's say you find the perfect Unicorn, Bridl will put you in relation with the seller with the clear price from the start.
The platform will take 10 % commission, which 5 % goes to the company and the other 5% to the intermediate if one.
They will organize trials, travel ... for you or send someone that work with them to try the horse.
At the end if you are still interested of purchasing the horse, all parties will sign a contract for full transparency and privacy.
